The orca is the largest of the killer whales and one of the most powerful predators in the cold seas. They are instantly recognizable by their distinctive black and white coloration, large size and huge mouths filled with sharp teeth that reveal a sadistic grin when opened.

Orcas, which have never been widely hunted by humans, use their four-inch-long teeth to feed on sea mammals, seals, sea lions, turtles, and even whales. They are known to rob from the ice. They also eat fish, squid, mermaids and seabirds.

Although they are often seen in cold coastal waters, orcas can be found from Skyrim's icy shores to the waters surrounding the Hammerfell desert, they do not appear to be present in Solstheim's oceans despite this.

Orcas hunt in deadly pods, which are family groups of up to 10 individuals. Pods use effective cooperative hunting techniques, somewhat similar to the behavior of wolf packs. Whales make a wide variety of communication sounds, and each pod has a unique sound that its members can identify even from great distances. They communicate and search using echolocation, which causes sound to travel underwater until it encounters objects and then bounces back, revealing their location, size and shape.

This mod specifically adds a pod of only about 10 people that roam all the ghost seas along Skyrim's northern coast, looking for prey.
