Octavian Dawnseeker is a studious magician who is happy to share with you on his journey! He wants you to take him home so bad! :3

Octavian Dawnseeker is a nerdy young man who is fascinated by dark energy. His research includes corrupted versions of the Flame, the Fire Bolt, the Flame Cloak, and the Flame Aronaki. Despite these things, Octavian is very friendly and loves traveling and meeting new people!

Race: Blood Elf

Voice: Young Male (I know, I know)

Level: 15 minutes, maximum 100 points

Racial Trait: Magicka regenerates 50% faster.

Marriage: Yes; it's better to have your own residence, since Octavian technically didn't have a home to marry into.

Armor: Cloth; His default robes are unenchanted and can be replaced as quickly as necessary.

Vendors - Octavian sells items from the court wizard's list, as well as spell books to learn his unique spells. He will buy almost anything from you and has 5,000 barter gold.

Demonic Flame: Deals fire damage like a normal spell, but drains the target's health and transfers it to the caster.

Fel Bolt: A damaged flaming arrow that deals fire damage and continues to deal damage after the flames are extinguished.

Demon's Cloak: Makes nearby targets difficult to shoot and deals fire damage.

Summon the Demonic Atronach: This is the Green Flame Atronach.

Octavian spent his days at the Winterhold Arcanaeum from 7am to 8pm, and overnight he could be found at the Frozen Frozenh Inn. From what I've observed, his routine doesn't take effect until you speak to Faralda to unlock the academy's door. This will also start if you are sneaking into the cell with Pete and coc, at which point he will get stuck because he cannot unlock the door. Not game-breaking, but probably not what you're after :3

While following you, he will not buy or sell. I've tested this on my unmodified profile in MO, I've tested it on my most heavily modified profile, and everything in between has not changed this behavior. I realize that one character's vanilla spouse never followed his seller dialogue, so I'm going to go out on a limb and say maybe that's how it was done. If you need his services on the road, lay him off for now. Or tell me how this is done if I'm just stupid. lol

I don't like SoS and I don't want it. Can you make a better male/female version?

No. At the end of the day this is my little art project to bring back some of my happier times and that's how I decided I wanted it to work. I'm just sharing because maybe a few people will like him.

When I gave Octavian new clothes/armor, his body shape changed. What gives?

His body is slim because I really don't like how he looks on other bodies. Apparently this is a problem, as none of the armor can transform into his shape.

There is now an optional patch file that gives you standard SoS shapes and converted garments!

When loading the game I get a notification about Octavian schlong! I don't want everyone to have his schlong D:

To make sure all the textures match, he has his own race and schlong shape (or, it's a retextured Smurf shape disguised as something else lol). He is the only one who can use it, and the message you see is simply SoS telling you that a new shape has been registered.

I don't know if the spell works...

This is the most spells I've done while playing Skyrim, and it's messier than my "teleport here" spells/scripts, so yeah, I probably messed up. If something isn't behaving correctly, or you think the mana cost/power ratio is off, or something is clearly too powerful or too weak, please let me know.

Is this compatible with x/some Winterhold Academy stuff?

should! If the table is placed to be loaded, he may spawn on top of the table or other items, but since he is there, he will not destroy anything. Maybe some wine bottles if he's not careful.
