About this mod Machine translation
Give NPCs their own weapons and armor instead of the default ones.
introduce
There are a lot of great armor mods out there. However, since my character can only equip one set at a time, I found that most of the armor just ended up cluttering my crafting menu rather than improving the gameplay experience. This mod aims to remedy this by making armor added by other mods the default equipment for NPCs.
I didn't just want to make a generic replacement because it wouldn't look right when everyone is walking around in the same gear with the same legendary outfit. Instead, place everything individually on specific characters.
All mods require you to download the mod from the original author. Remember to recognize their work.
This mod doesn't just add armor to NPCs, it works by creating an entirely new set of items using the same mesh/texture.
This means you can disable the original mod's ESP file if you wish. If you do this, you can only obtain it by getting unique sets from NPCs in the game.
Some items are placed on basic NPCs, which means not all items are available for purchase.
Sometimes weapons are added in addition to armor. If your skill is high enough, you can usually pickpocket these weapons.
compatibility
These have only been tested with UNP meshes/textures but should work with other body types.
For maximum compatibility, this mod uses very lightweight scripts.
When you start a new game, the script will only run once and replace the NPC's items with new ones.
This means it should work with almost all NPC overhauls, although some may get haircuts.
If the NPC already has his own gear, I'm just overwriting the gear instead of creating the script, so you should install that last, just in case.
How good these kits look depends largely on which ENB and NPC overhaul mod you use.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
