Requires Skyrim version 1.9.32.0.8 or higher.
Old versions are not supported!!!
A small model that makes the citizens of a village or city run indoors during a dragon or vampire attack.
This comes from the frustration of seeing citizens all trying to be a hero and rushing to attack dragons and vampires in pursuit of their dragon heads. Instead, citizens will run as safe as the wise when faced with the horrors of giant fire-breathing lizards (or the bloodthirsty undead). NPCs who live at the attack site and own houses will retreat there. If there is an inn at the location of the attack, NPCs who do not live there will flee to the inn along with NPCs who live outdoors. If there is no inn, the game will pick a random interior space from the surrounding area and those NPCs will escape there.
This applies to any NPCs added by mods, up to a maximum of 150 in the area. After that, they were alone. NPCs are selected on a first-come, first-served basis and are served by the game engine.
Guards, members of The Companions, Vigilantes of Stendarr, and the player's followers/teammates will not participate in the match, they will stand and fight. Farm animals also won't run because they are stupid. That includes your horse.
Spawned dragons are detected via animation events, which should allow for completely reliable detection even if the dragon never lands on something.
Hand-dropped dragons are detected when their combat status changes* and when they land on any available perching object in the area.
Vampires are detected when the event that spawned them starts running.
*[Only after they land on the ground]

Installation requirements
Official Skyrim patch 1.9.32.0.8 or higher.
Official Dawnguard DLC.
Do not extract the contents of the BSA file into the Data folder as loose files, or have the mod manager perform an equivalent function on the file contents. Doing this will cause things to load in the wrong order and break the game. Skyrim is designed to load BSA and its ESM/ESP files. Bypassing this will cause issues that I won't provide support for. If you persist in opposing this suggestion, you will not be supported by the problems that will arise from it.
compatibility
Tested and confirmed to work in all vanilla cities, towns, villages and smaller settlements.
Tested and confirmed to work with Raven Rock and other small settlements in Solstheim.
Tested and confirmed to work with all DLC added dragon types.
Tested and confirmed to work with Open Cities Skyrim.
Should be fully compatible with all user-made dragon-related mods, as long as Attacking Dragons has the MGRitual05DragonScript appended.
It changes the following script mods which will not be compatible without a patch:
MGRitual05DragonScript
DragonPerchScript
Dragon Diversity requested its own replacement due to the MGRitual05DragonScript patch. The patch is available here: http://www..com/skyrim/mods/50844

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
