Northwind Hunters Cabin

About this mod Machine translation
A small cozy cabin in the wild with a view of a million Septims
While testing followers in my upcoming tavern model, the Whispering Pines Inn, I came across this ledge with a stunning view overlooking Hot Springs Valley and half a waterfall. Begging for a players home to be built there, I settled on a crude cabin.
The cabin is on the path to the Northwind mine, through which you can reach the Word Wall and Dragon levels; a steep path branches off from the road to the east, bending towards the Rift from Eastmarch.
Once there, it has everything you need, a comfortable living room with room for up to one follower, tons of labeled storage in customizable containers, and a full basement with every crafting station except the smelter. (Because the path in the mine is very short), there is a navigation network inside, there are followers to enter the cellar; there is a crib to choose from.
Outside there are spectacular views, with lush herbs and gardens surrounding a rocky basin. Behind the cabin, a small dam captures rainwater, creating a pond from which you can wash and get a water supply. (with the correct module)
It's not meant to be your primary residence, but rather a home away from home with just a small cozy sitting area or a retreat.
When typing it in, the name just says "Northwind Cabin" but that name was already taken so I had to adjust the mod title so the hunter was added.
Hope you have a great stay.
Install:
Use the Mod Manager of your choice and make sure the Activation tab is selected, or manually open the zip folder and drag and drop the contents into the Data folder, making sure the mod is selected in the load order.
There are no known conflicts unless you have a mod that modifies the exact same location.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
