About this mod Machine translation
Replace the horse and goat's eyes with more ordinary eyes.
This is my first time modding so I hope it goes well. This is a simple solution to something that's been bothering me since Skyrim came out. Namely, the fact that horses have goat eyes. No one seemed to have made a mod that could replace the eyes (even on textures) and I had some free time so I finally decided to stop complaining and fix the problem in my own game. Since it went into effect, I decided to post it online to appeal to those who are also bothered by the weird scary eyes of vanilla horses. The assets used are vanilla texture and vanilla bear texture. I used the vanilla bear eyes, modified them a bit in photoshop and placed them over the grunge goat eyes in the dds file (you can make them in photoshop using the appropriate add-on plugin). The eyes are dark brown and look good with every horse color (to me anyway). I also kept a red version of the bear's eyes for the black horse, which should only appear on Shadowmere.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
