Nirnrest - NLA

A very lightweight ENB preset that takes full advantage of NLA. Regular gameplay instead of screen archery.

Introduction

This is a poor man's NLA preset brought to you by a potato computer. Tweaked, tested, and borne of the desperation of owning a mid to low end PC.

Use: Bloom, Adaptation, Sunrays, Detailed Shadows and Mist.

Compatible with Khajit Night Eye.

Disclaimer

• This is not as good as Confidence Man's original NLA ENB preset. This preset was built from the ground up to be a more performance-friendly alternative that takes advantage of NLA weather.

• "Performing ENB" is a contradiction that gets thrown around a lot, so let me give you a more specific and honest reference point.

All screenshots were taken on my outdated rig (AMD FX-4300; 8gb DDR3; AMD R7 260x 1GB).

I used the SMIM performance module (NO 3d rope/chain) and the Noble HD2k Performance version was overlaid with the Osmodius texture pack.

Other than that I used WICO, RS Children, and a bunch of 1k/2k retextures and replacements for weapons, armor, and miscellany.

I'm running the game in the medium BethINI preset, with textures turned to ultra, tree animations off, and 1024 shadows.

Average FPS outside normal grass density: 49

Average FPS with iMinGrassSize=100 is 55

Average FPS Overlooking Whiterun from Dragonsreach: 40

Average FPS from Bridge to Whiterun looking at Riverwood: 43

To take full advantage of ENB's detailed shadows, I recommend you set the shadows no higher than 2048.

Install

• Download the ENB v262 binaries here.
• Copy d3d9.dll and enbhost.exe from the "Wrapper Version" in the downloaded archive to the main skyrim directory (where TESV.exe is located).
• Copy my ENB file to the same folder.
• Get natural light and atmosphere 2.0 here.
• In the NLA v2.0 archive, copy only the "Data" folder to the Skyrim directory.
• Touch Fanny to praise your favorite Aedric god.
