About this mod Machine translation

This mod adds a female Redguard healer follower to the Temple of Kynareth in Whiterun

describe

This is Niobe. She is a completely original character. In fact, one of the characters I played with for a while. She is a restoration mage who can heal players and teammates. She's not that good at destruction, and her only means of attack is her Run Rose Staff. She'll give you a copy if you want (otherwise, she'll double-swing them, probably making it OP, though her accuracy isn't 100%). Her attacks work on all enemies, not just the undead. Niobe is best suited for difficult games or for those who don't care about using too much force.

Note that having a large number of party members at once may cause her to heal less frequently, as she will heal everyone.

background

Niobe is known as the "Sun Rose" or "

As a child, she had a rose garden at her home in the small village of Hammerfell. She was known for her ability to grow all kinds of lovely plants, but she was very fond of roses. She also dabbles in healing magic and plans to work with the village doctor, eventually replacing him once he gets too old. Her village is relatively peaceful. There are a handful of warriors there, including Niobe's brother, so whenever there's trouble, he and his team take care of it.

Unfortunately, the village was invaded by a large group of bandits who wanted to hide in their village after stealing a large amount of gold. Niobe's brother and his team tried to fight them off, but they were no match for the evil force of the bandits. Niobe's brother, who was seriously injured, tried to crawl toward her to ensure her safety. He collapsed in her rose garden and died a few moments later. In desperation, Nyob tried to heal him, prayed for him and begged him to come back. Even though her magic was depleted, she still tried desperately, with no effect on her brother. As she attempts to heal him, the bright red roses wither and turn black, before seconds later they quickly bloom into a bright golden light. She paused to look at what was happening, the rose growing until it was almost human size. Her brother disappeared, leaving only his robes behind. When the bandits try to attack her and the rest of the village, all the roses shoot a beam of light at them, setting all the roses on fire.

Some time later, when peace returned to the village, Niobe picked some giant golden roses to study them. Even without water, they can thrive without underground. It seems they just need sunlight. Those trapped in the darkness are still alive, but have lost their light and power. Niobe considers the rose to be a gift from Mara or Mara and Dibella. She had always admired them both and believed there was beauty in everything. From that day on, the large roses in her garden protected the village from anyone who wanted to harm them. Instead of growing into giant plants, all the new roses she planted in the garden were wilted and yellow.

A year later, Niobe set out to travel around the world. Her recovery improved, she gained the status of Sun Rose, and word spread about her and her Rose. She even wore clothes to reflect it, including her brother's old cloak, which she dyed gold. When news of her deeds spread, she was given jewelry crafted and enchanted just for her. Her exploits mostly consist of healing those who need it most and occasionally dealing with bandits. She has traveled throughout Tamriel over the years and now finds herself in Skyrim during the Civil War.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
