Put on your hat, we're going to Solstheim.
about
This is the third mod in my series of NPC overhauls, this time we're giving them a makeover for the residents of Solstheim!
This mod covers a total of 40 NPCs from the Dragonborn DLC, both male and female. I kept it lightweight by having the NPCs use your installed skin and body mods, also keeping the NPC weight to increase compatibility with other mods. The skin textures you install will drastically change the appearance of any NPC, so they may look different in game than in my screenshots. In my images, I used Aventurine skin for the women and Vitruvia for the men.
Some NPCs come with additional face painting/tattoo options, the default ones are the ones you see in the image above.
special edition
compatibility
This mod is technically incompatible with any mod that edits the same NPCs, but most NPC overhauls will work out of the box. Like my previous replacement mods, I avoided all NPCs covered by the Bijin series so they could be used together without problems. I haven't tried it yet, but if you want to save addon slots, this mod blends perfectly with other conflict-free mods.
Installation and requirements
The mod comes with the FOMOD installer, so I highly recommend installing it with your mod manager of choice. If you want to install manually, extract the contents of the "00 data" folder into the Data folder. The USLEEP version requires the unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition patch.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
