A small mod that removes the wings from first person view.
More Immersive Animation Wings (MIAW)
Anton's animated Dragon Wings is easily one of my favorite mods of all time. For me, this is a necessary mod that makes my Argonians look more like how I imagined the Dragonborn to be. But, in all the years I've used it, one thing has always bothered me:
So I decided to fix it.
With MIAW, the wings will retract when you enter first person. When you return to third person, they go backwards. There is no visual impairment and no human intervention is required. enjoy your meal!
I use MIAW with Joy of Perspective and it should work with other camera mods. If you find any bugs, please report them in the bug forum. This mod should work with anything.
how
To use it, just go to third person, extend your wings, and continue as you would in Skyrim.
If you're installing on a save file with multiple mutations, I highly recommend getting and equipping the "Dodo Ring" as soon as possible without changing the camera state. It won't be a game-breaker if you do this, but chances are, every wing you have a mutagen on will start responding to the camera state. The ring should be purchased separately on Radiant's clothing, but it's much faster to use the console. Equipping the Ring of the Dodo should be performed whenever you choose to change wings. Once the ring is equipped, "reset" the desired wing with a cast or two to gain a new wing in third person. Simple.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
