About this mod Machine translation
Mod Configuration Menu (MCM) for Moonlight Special Edition, a replacement for the Ancient Ring.
Overview
This is a Mod Configuration Menu (MCM) designed to replace the configuration via "Moonlight Legend Special Edition"
Clunky menu accessed by "Ancient Ring" in "Moonlight Legend." It won't remove the Ancient Ring, but it will make it obsolete, making Moonlight Legend settings easier to navigate and change. (Update: Version 0.2 added the option to remove Ancient Ring in the Tools menu, but it will be reused if Moonlight Legend is reinitialized.) I tried to keep the overall structure of the original menu consistent, but I did add a few features like customizable moon transformation probabilities.
Install
Extract to your data folder, or install using Mod Manager. I'm not using any assets from the vanilla game or Moonlight Tales, so it shouldn't overwrite anything.
Special instructions
After installation, SkyUI may take a minute to register the menu. The menu may be blank until Moonlight Legend itself is initialized, for which your character must be outdoors.
This MCM expects "Moonlight Tales Special Edition.esp" to be in your load order and won't work without it. If for some reason the name of the plugin is changed or merged with another module, you can edit the MTSE_MCMScript.psc file, change the value of "pluginName" in the variable list to the name of the modified or merged file, and recompile. This may still not work if many form IDs are changed.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
