About this mod Machine translation

This mod adds facial animations to werewolves, cubs, and vampire lords. Ported to Oldrim by popular demand.

This mod adds facial animations to werewolves, cubs, and vampire lords. This is done by giving the above creatures real facegen heads, now separate from their body meshes.

Now they actually blink and move their lips when they speak. (Please forgive me for not recording the actual footage of Harkon yet)

This mod also prevents static noise caused by quests in the Dawnguard DLC, which affects werewolves that don't have a werewolf type (like Sinding)

This mod comes with various versions of Werewolf Dollection already integrated.

If anyone wants to make a showcase video of this mod, please be my guest!

If you have any questions please feel free to send me a PM as I won't be reading my comments right now.

Notice:

The difference between this LE version and the SE is that the werewolf/cub now does not have static jaws and ears. When I imported them into SSE I ran into an issue where the werewolf's ears were completely extended for no apparent reason, I couldn't pinpoint the issue because I double checked the weight painting and all that stuff.

Known issues:

If you use another mode that turns your minions into werewolves, make sure they are not wearing full-face helmets or their heads will be invisible.

Also make sure to load this mod after Moonlight Tales Special Edition.

Some people report ear stretching or even CTD, but I can't determine the reason behind it...

Q: Will you expand this lip sync feature to more creatures? ?

A: No plans, really. When I started making this mod, it only worked with werewolves, but due to the popularity, I decided to expand the mod to vampire lords and later companions. But I won't develop it any further now, I've had a long break.

Q: Is this compatible with mods that add new body meshes (e.g. La Femme Lycana)?

A: A female mesh is included, but it does not have weight scaling like I "programmed" this mod to do.

On a side note, if you want this mod to use a mesh that adds naughty bits or fur, you can open said mesh in NifSkope and remove the head branches (such as the face, mouth, and eyes), then select "Save as" and replace the body mesh located in "meshes/actors/<creature name>/character assets/body".

Q: Is this compatible with Moonlight Tales?

A: Technically yes, if you disable the skin system using the Ancient Ring/MCM menu. Unfortunately the facials from this mod don't work with MT's skins as they are applied like armor whereas my mod uses real heads. However, I have included an optional patch that will prevent duplicate werewolf/bear heads when players use the skin.

Q: I'm using an alternate skin for a werewolf or vampire lord, what's next?

A: Try loading your skin mod after my mod.

Q: Will you be doing facial animation patches for alternate skins? (e.g. Bat Vampire Lord)

A: I'm not sure right now. It requires a lot of editing in Blender, so for now I'll keep the beastly aesthetic covered.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
