About this mod Machine translation
Rebalanced all gear in the game based on player level. This is mainly to deal with unbalanced mod armor, but it also affects vanilla armor.
describe
Have you ever found a weapon or armor mod that looked really good, downloaded it, started a new game, completed everything needed to get the armor, and then realized that it was too powerful/weak for the game to be interesting if you used it? Then, this mod might be for you.
It might also work for you if you just really like the look of low-level gear and hate letting go once you get into the late game, but don't want to deal with alchemical potions to get the ultimate over-enhanced Uber Potion forge!
Mod Equipment Rebalancer changes the base armor/damage values of any equipment you choose to suit your level. This balance is based on the assumption that you want daedric quality gear to be set to level 50, but when you want all gear to be equal, you can adjust this balance using the console command "Set LevelForDaedric to #" where # is the level to pursue high quality. Levels below 1 will be treated as 1.
Keep in mind that this will also affect NPC gear, as long as they are wearing something you picked up previously. Although the NPC's equipment will be set based on the last time you picked it up. Therefore, you should loot enemy equipment if you want to keep them updated, even if you just drop them immediately.
Again, each weapon or armor is individually balanced. So leather armor is still not as strong as heavy weapons, and daggers are still not as strong as crossbows (before considering perks, enchantments, etc.).
Now, there is also the option to rebalance the gold value of your equipment. You need to download an optional version of the file, and the feature is turned off by default. You can turn it on using the console command "SetRebalanceGoldValue to 1" (without quotes). You can also adjust how quickly equipment values increase using "Set GoldScalingFactor to #", where # is the level at which you want all values to be equal to endgame equipment. The default is fifty. Note that it scales exponentially rather than linearly, so small changes to this value can have a larger impact on the price.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
