About this mod Machine translation
A fully independent custom follower using the CHARMING open source voice set by Christian Gaughf and Kikiapplus. He comes with location-aware annotations, his own follower system and carefully chosen outfits.
describe
Marcus Far-Born is the Knight of the Nine...the Eight...er, let's say the God Knight. He is a Nord, but he lived in Cyrodiil for most of his life until he decided to visit his ancestral home in Skyrim. A battle with a troll resulted in him having to recover from an injury at the Temple of Solitude - there's a diary in his journal if you want to know more. Now that he has fully recovered, he is ready for adventure if you want to take him.
Marcus is almost a knight in shining armor. He's polite, respectful, friendly, and will regret it if you're about to kill some bandits along the way...after, of course, he smashes them in the face with his shield.
feature
Custom speech set with location-aware annotations. Talk to him while you're in town, out exploring or relaxing at the hotel - he might have something new to say! His sound collection is an open source property of Kikiapplus and Christian Gaughf - see the link in the Credits section.
His own follower system. He ignores your Friendly Fire and doesn't consider it a minion limit, so you can have him tag along with any other minions you might be using. If you tell him to wait, he will stay indefinitely.
A custom armor based on the meshes and textures listed in the Credits section. All pieces of armor can be tempered and enchanted. The armor is in his inventory - he'll wear it after you recruit him, otherwise he'll be wearing vanilla's fine clothes. If you want to change his "civilian" outfit, use a follower management mod such as Amazing Follower Adjustments.
Daily schedule. He spent the morning training in the grounds of Castle Dour, the afternoon wandering around the temple, the evening visiting the Winking Skeever, and the evening returning to the temple. If you fire him, he will return to solitude and resume his daily routine. To keep him current, use "My home is your home" or just tell him to wait instead of firing him.
If he gets lost, a teleportation skill will bring him back. To obtain this spell, look for the "Call Marcus" spell book in Marcus' inventory.
Place
Morning: Courtyard of the Castle of Tours, slashing towards a training dummy.
Afternoon: At the temple. He might be near the shrine, or chilling upstairs - where he sometimes goes to get a bite to eat.
Evening: Have a drink or two at Winking Skeever.
Night: Return to the temple.
Some of these locations can be crowded, so if you can't find Marcus, you can always use the console to get the "Call Marcus" spellbook and summon him that way. But, honestly, I never had any problems finding him during testing.
other
Marcus uses a Sundracon compatible body. See the Credits section for more information.
Your player character can wear Marcus' armor. It works for both male and female characters.
He's a classic sword-armored tank who can also heal himself a little, but that's not his main focus. (His .esp file was actually called "fix", but that's no longer correct. I started out as a fix and then gave up on that idea, but renaming .esps is a pain.)
He has the following perks: Light Steps, Shield Wall (Level 2), Heavy Blow, Shield (Level 2), Swordsman (Level 1).
He is level with the player, with no minimum or maximum level restrictions.
At this moment, his voice has no lines related to marriage, so he cannot get married. However, Kikiapplus mentioned that marriage might be added in the future, so hopefully I can make Marcus a marriage prospect one day!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
