Map Markers

About this mod Machine translation
Enables found individual map marker locations and provides fast travel.
I've been looking for an easy way to enable the map markers I want, namely cities and towns at the start of the game.
I found a mod that lets you go to the map to show markers, but that involves what I wanted... I couldn't find anything else, so I came up with this...
A simple batch file that allows me to set up map markers to find and quickly travel to major cities, towns and taverns as well as some other places of interest [optional]
This doesn't add any new markers, these are just the original locations.
To change what is activated, open a file (Notepad will do) and comment or uncomment the files you want or don't want.
Initially, I set it up for a city, a town, and 3 hotels within it.
Simply extract the text file into your main skyrim directory, which is the directory where skyrim.esm is located.
I don’t know what the mod manager will do, so I can only download it manually.
To use, open a console and type "bat mapmarkers" without quotes.
You can also rename the file to any name.
If you just need all map markers, use TMM.
Does not include any DLC locations.
Is this cheating?
Well, some people think standard fast travel is a rip off... so you decide whether to use it :)
I believe this work will work for both Skyrim and Skyrim SE, so it could be published under both to simplify things.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
