About this mod Machine translation

A standalone Maormer (sea elf) follower with customized armor and weapons, and a brief introduction. RaceMenu and UUNP BodySlide presets are also available.

entourage

ZirraLia is a standalone follower with a custom human mesh, textures and unique eyes. Her hair has a light iridescent sheen that changes color under the light. She is of the Moorish race by custom, has unique skills, and uses a mixture of two-handed, one-handed, and magic attacks in combat.

She is essential, can be the player's equal, and can be married. Uses the "Dark Elf Female" voice with a small amount of custom dialogue.

Armor

ZirraLia comes equipped with custom armor that fits her unique body. By using some clever mesh shader tricks, I was able to give all of her gear a subtle iridescent sheen that reflects different colors at different angles. Must be seen in game to appreciate!

All of her equipment can be upgraded and enchanted if you have the appropriate skills, and includes crafting recipes.

Her default unarmored robe can be exchanged for an armored breastplate, which is hidden in the water nearby when you find her and can also be crafted. Also includes

arms

Customize your weapons and they use the same rainbow iridescent effect. True to her seafaring culture, she wields a scimitar and a trident. She will frequently switch between them during combat, and will also cast lightning attacks from a distance.

seek

There is a short introductory mission. You can find her washed up on a sandbank just offshore on the far northwest edge of the map. When you get close to her, the quest begins. You can revive her, have a brief conversation around a campfire, and from that point on, she'll provide standard follower dialogue.

Tip: If you don't want to waste a lot of time exploring the edges of the map and searching for ZirraLia on the beach, you can open the console and type:

coc 0ms

(note that this is a zero and not a capital o!) will teleport you next to her and start the mission.

Knowledge

The Maormer, also known as sea elves or tropical elves, are a race of mer living in the southwest of Tamerel in the exotic island nation of Pyandonea. They are considered to be close relatives of the high elves, but are distinguished by their very pale skin and bright white eyes.

Throughout the southern kingdoms, it was feared that Maormer sailors would frequently raid merchant ships and coastal settlements, and their powerful fleets made several attempts to invade and conquer the elven kingdoms of Somerset and Valenwood. The skill of Malmö sailors is unparalleled, and Malmö mages are known for summoning storms and commanding giant sea serpents.

On land, their troops also performed poorly. After their invasion attempts were repeatedly thwarted by their elven cousins, the Maormer retreated to Pyandonea, where they maintained peace and were largely isolated from the rest of the world for centuries. Currently, they are a rare sight on the mainland, but Maormer merchant ships still visit coastal cities, and Maormer sailors seeking new opportunities are seen as valuable additions to any crew.

Zirra Lia is a particularly adventurous Maormer sailor who recently joined a private crew as a hired deckhand in hopes of seeing more of the world. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse when her ship strayed far north and got caught in frightening winds in unfamiliar waters. The storm claimed the lives of her shipmates...but the sea cannot easily kill a sea elf...

NOTE: This mod assumes your character has heard of sea elves, but has never seen them. This might be weird if you're playing a Maormer character (I know there are several mods for this), but otherwise it should make sense.

Another note: This mod is heavily based on established lore of Elder Scrolls Online, but I did take some creative license. Skyrim takes place hundreds of years later. The best information I can find is that Maormer has pretty much kept to himself at this point, but hasn't gone away. ESO used …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
