About this mod Machine translation
This is my first mod, and after researching potential fixes for console commands, I believe I've found one that fixes the tragedy at the Academy that led to the Magnus mission.
After the fight between Ancano and Arch-Mage Savos Aren, I noticed that Mirabelle Ervine and Ancano were also walking around as if nothing had happened, although the Mirabelle Ervine dialogue did continue to tell you to stand up as usual. Gather your wits. Tell her you're feeling okay and she'll tell you that Ancano is doing something with the Eye of Magnus and that the Arch-Mage is missing.
Once her dialogue is over you need to find Savos Aron, to me he appears in the College of Winterhold as if he was just limping from the gate and there is no way to interact with him.
The console commands for MG05 and mg06 don't work, I can only make progress through MG07, but that in itself causes the issue of me not being recognized as Arch-Mage.
I found MG05 and mg06 in the Creation Kit, I just marked them as complete at index 200 using the tickbox, set the Next Quest to mg06 and MG07 and created the mod using the Mod Organizer, which was set to the bottom of my loading order.
Back in Skyrim, everything seems to be resolved, I've checked the dialogue and actions that are going to happen in MG05 and mg06, and the game follows the intent I can observe.
I hope this is a potential solution for everyone still playing Skyrim, but if this doesn't solve your problem or you just want to fix it yourself in the Creation Kit, here's where I found MG05 and mg06:
Characters - Quests - Factions - Mages Guild (first option, since I have 2 options in my Creation Kit titled Mages Guild, the first option has no extra tree for me, the second option has an extra tree called Radiant).
Hope this all makes sense or the file I uploaded solved the problem for you.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
