About this mod Machine translation

Convert many spells into switchable spells in a simple and balanced way. Just cast once to turn it on and cast it again to turn it off. When switching spells, you lose a portion of magicka equal to a configurable percentage of the spell's cost. Compatible with all spell mods and extras/game overhauls. No record edited.

Current functionality

Cast a spell to toggle it. Cast it again with a fee of 0, close it. Simple and intuitive.

A configurable percentage of the cost of each switched spell is deducted from your magicka pool when the spell is switched.

Provides continuous experience when switching. Experience points can be configured in the MCM.

Import your favorite modified spells into the system (or perhaps already added them).

Easy to navigate MCM to add or remove spells. Summoning spells are not added by default, but if you add them yourself it should work.

Bugs/Compatibility

Out of the box, it's compatible with Revelations, Lost Spells, and Requiem-added Spells. Some compatibility scripts may not work with SSE.

Lorica is fully compatible with mods that adjust the cost of spells such as Requiem, adjusting their costs dynamically.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
