About this mod Machine translation
Replaced the sound effect the equipment's armor makes when it breaks to produce a louder and more noticeable "gong" sound.
What this mod does:
Replaced the armourbreak.wav sound file in Loot and Degradation with another sound that is louder and easier to recognize, sounding like a gong.
Why you need this mod:
Even with the widget that tells you what items are equipped, I never saw it in combat. Considering I always fight in first person, I often find my character naked at the end of a fight because all my armor was broken during the fight without me noticing. Hopefully with this new loud sound, the occurrence of broken armor parts will be made more obvious so that you can quickly install new parts for them.
How to install this mod:
Simply drag and drop the contents of the Mod Data folder into the Skyrim Data Folder, or use the Mod Manager.
How to uninstall this mod:
I recommend using a mod manager to uninstall. If you do this manually, delete the armourbreak.wav file from Skyrim\Data\Sound\fx\lootanddegradation and move the original file back.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
