Light Needle Bow

About this mod Machine translation
This mod adds a new crossbow and bolt type, suitable for poison users. They both deal zero damage and their only purpose is to deliver poison.
Description
The light stab bow is a variant of the bow. It is not a weapon of battle, but a tool of the evil alchemist.
I spent a lot of time looking for something in Nexus that would work for my weak alchemist character, but couldn't find a mod that worked for me.
I couldn't sleep one night so I decided to stay one night.
Optional
There is now an optional painless version that does not cause hostility or break stealth.
- Use this version if you don't like some balance in other versions or just want to kill it with it. -
statistics
The Light Needle Bow is a new item forged from 2 firewood and 2 steel ingots.
Needle bolts are also forged from 1 block of firewood and 1 steel ingot (every batch of 15).
The bow's damage is 0 (technically 0.001, to maintain hostility) and its weight is 5.
Bolts also deal 0 damage, are less affected by gravity, and move faster than normal bolts.
They also penetrate deeper so they won't float on target like vanilla bolts.
Miscellaneous
-Bows and bolts are under the other categories of blacksmithing-
(I don't want it to require perks so that people who avoid the flattening trick can still use it)
-Bows and arrows use bows and arrows to emit sound instead of a, so the sound is weak and secretive-
(Mainly because I think vanilla
cross (sounds loud and clumsy) - Attacking an NPC counts as an attack just like a normal weapon, so no bounty is required if you remain invisible -
(see options file for non-hostile version)
-Smart alchemists can use it to bring more benefits-
(Your followers will be the only ones who will get this help. NPCs won't look like they're being shot!)
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
