About this mod Machine translation

As a character's magical skills become stronger, their spells become more powerful.

In the base game, increasing the skill level of a specific magic school will reduce the magicka cost of that magic school. With this mod installed, it not only does that, but also increases the effectiveness of your spells - Restoration will increase health by 1% per skill level, Destruction will increase damage dealt by 1%, summoned Dadra will remain active by 1%, and spells will change. Very simple.

Before I get into the FAQ, let me show you something. It's coming.

FAQ: ( If you've never read one of my FAQs before, please don't presume to do so. Sorry.)

Q: Does this work with mods' spells?

Answer: Yes, yes. I'd rather make a universal effect that changes every spell in the game.

Q: dipshit, there is already a mod that does this. Actually two .

A: My problem with these mods is that they only affect players (or affect players more than NPCs) because they work through perks, and perk scripts don't work on NPCs for ungodly reasons. Personally, although I've owned Skyrim since 2013 and spent a fair amount of time playing it, I've never really played a magic-centric character (don't look at my Steam account. Please). I'm making this mostly for NPCs because I feel like when I get to higher levels and start getting stupidly powerful weapons, even on legendary difficulty, the mage enemies drop like flies and barely do any damage.

Q: Have you never done a mage pass? It's true that magic is the best skill in The Elder Scrolls.

A: Too bad I'm a broadsword-wielding, rifle-wielding, armor-wearing, body-dropping, clumsy bullet/arrow sponge. I've always been partial to traditional steel, and that creates magic and lasers. I usually end the romance mage in the game with that option if it makes you feel better.

Q: ...you want to fuck me because I play Skyrim as a mage?

Answer: No, you are just thinking.

Q: You are so disgusting.

A: Hey, you brought it up!

Q: Why doesn't this affect illusion magic?

Answer: Because Illusion is the worst skill in The Elder Scrolls. I could easily do this to affect the illusion, but I choose not to because I hate it. EDIT: I've added a scripted version of this script that includes the illusion magic. If for some reason you like illusion magic, you can find it in the Optional Files. Temporarily removed for maintenance. lol sorry.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
