Also working on my own mod, for the deadric crossbow, which will be coming eventually, but I digress for the reason for this patch, rather than just installing one of the other stapling mods to be more or less avoid any conflicts with regaurd conflicting IDs etc.

This should be self-contained as I imported everything related to the bindings in this patch, but the Legendary Skyrim Crossbows files should be peacefully overwritten with the appropriate files. The retexture used a glow shader and an alpha attribute to give this spooky atmosphere and make the spell work like in the bug report. The texture is isolated from the weapon, so it uses the default weapon model in compilation, i.e. the original image should not be overwritten or derived from any retextures. Textures can be overridden in Textures/Weapons/Crossbow/Binds if desired.
The original mod and models are not my work by any means, just posting this patch to help as this seems to be the most complete compilation currently available regarding nexus and doesn't add any additional features
Fixed issues with binding crossbow spells, recoloring and shader editing by Elsys656.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
