About this mod Machine translation
This mod is just a simple preset character for Kratos from the latest God of War game. I also gave him my own custom textures which you can see in the "Media" section of the mod page.
It’s finally here, guys! I know a lot of you have been asking me to release Kratos that I've made in any form, whether it's a follower, a preset, or an armor mashup for him. Well I finally found the time to finish texturing him and optimized the presets as best I could. Now, since this is my first mod, I may not be doing something correctly. However, I'm trying to keep everything as simple as possible, so I guess I'll have to wait for your feedback to see how well I'm doing.
I've always been obsessed with the Vikings-inspired Kratos, and I simply couldn't pass up the chance to bring him to Skyrim (or, in my case, Enderal). I've been wondering how he would fit into Norse ruins and tombs. So Kratos had to be a part of my game, and now he can be a part of yours.
In order to give him a unique look (not the same texture as others in Skyrim) I had to use "My Vanilla Races". This is an amazing mod that doubles the vanilla matches and allows you to set your own textures for each one. Therefore, it is a must to have it. Otherwise, the preset may not work properly.
The preset also features adjustments for weapon placement (when protected by a sheath). Just like in the original game, he has his Leviathan Ax and Blade of Chaos on his back (as it should be). You may have to install Racemenu (duh) and XPMSE for this to work.
Install:
The only thing you have to do is copy the Data folder from the archive and paste it into your Steam folder (or wherever the game is installed).
Important note:
- Make sure you open the console by pressing the key under the "Esc" key (tilde). Type 'showracemenu' and select the newly added 'My Breton' race, then apply the preset.
- This mod is designed to be installed manually, there is no fomod file,
Shhh, I'm not hanging around anymore. Anyway, I hope you like the mod and if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. I'll try to help.
cheers!
EDIT: Due to your overwhelming support and interest, the mod has included this in the Popular Files section. I didn't expect such positive feedback, but I'm glad that so many people like the mod.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
