About this mod Machine translation
The original Khajiit Speak Mod has been expanded to many popular content mods.
The thrice-honored friend offers you the brilliant moon.
If you're playing Khajiit in Skyrim, there's a good chance you've heard of mjharper's Khajiit Speak and may even be using it. This is an excellent mod that rewrites all the base game (and some mods') player dialogue to sound more like Khajiit's way of speaking, and also brings some much-needed humor to the game.
However, it doesn't cover a lot of mods, and when you start a new mission or talk to a new NPC, it suddenly becomes as shocking as the Imperial Army.
That's where this mod comes in. Khajiit Speak Extended is a collection of dialogue patches from popular mods that are not yet covered by the original Khajiit Speak. These range from dungeon mods with short quests, newly added NPCs and larger DLC sized content mods. My ultimate goal is to cover as many mods as possible and provide the most complete Khajiit Speak experience possible.
Although I'm no mjharper, I've tried my best to capture the typical, somewhat quirky feel of the Khajiiti dialect. My patch is not a simple third-person rewrite - much of the content includes homages to Khajiti history, culture and religion, as well as some humor, sarcasm and even prejudice and insults. I also sprinkled in some Tagalog (their native language) words and phrases, but they were rarely used. As a result, our player character is no longer a plain blank slate but still has many options. They're just more expressive and opinionated about them.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
