Keef's Sword

About this mod Machine translation
A Daedric sword, in memory of Keith Flint, does something a little special...
Oh, not more...
Shhh, I want to tell you something.
Uh, okay...
Back in 1991, when I was 14 years old, I heard a song called "Charly Says" by a band called The Prodigy. It's not like the generic bullshit and sampled safety ads in the charts, it actually turns it into something very disruptive. Not long after, "Everybody in the Place" followed, which became a playground anthem and was occasionally heard. I was already into the rave scene (Second Summer of Love happened only two years ago), and while I still loved dance music, there was something about it that felt new Something. Prodigy. They didn't conform to the normal rules and that was something I wanted to follow as a budding fanboy. Whenever I heard their tunes, it felt like the party wouldn't stop.
Except on March 4, 2019, too, as the world woke up to hear that Keith Flint had taken his own life.
So, what is this?
It's Keef's sword, a Daedric sword (100 damage) that has a custom enchantment called Twisted Firestarter that makes the sword glow green and does 75 fire damage to the boots. Oh, and when you equip it then you get a start riff sample from "Firestarter". There's also some loading screen input.
Mode select rewards, but all rewards for this mode are divided into Child's Play and Make-a-Wish.
How do I get it?
It must be crafted in Skyforge (making legendary steel like Keith's), and requires Firesalts and an Ebony Sword.
Is there a conflict?
No, there is
What legal issue?
Firestarter's samples are based on fair use and are used in good faith. No copyright infringement is intended.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
