About this mod Machine translation
"Cairn calls upon Paarthurnax, who wretches the poor / Together they teach men to use voice..." ~ Badge IV, Etching of High Hrothgar. A lore-friendly "empowered shout" amulet for dragons who care more about Cairne than Talos.
Kayne/Kaan is the one who gives men the ability to shout (akatosh stans dni). I think it's a little weird that Kynareth's amulet and Kyne's token have nothing to do with this aspect of her. I don't take talos lightly either. So my thought is that it is a truly ancient relic that predates the Ghat Empire - a rarity in the religious history of Skyrim.
What I did:
The amulet is enchanted with EnchReligiousTalos, the AncientNordAmuletAA armor plugin and associated first-person model, the AncientNordAmuletGO world model, and all vanilla textures.
I edited GreybeardOutfit and GreybeardOutfitWithHat to include the amulet (although you can't actually see them wearing it in the game...it's not shown through their robes...but I left it out because I liked the idea of them wearing tokens of the goddess)
I added an amulet to the inner cell of HighHrothgar at the end of the meditation corridor on the left. I unchecked the respawn option so it should be the only one of its kind. I also slightly rotated the stand it sits on because it's crooked and I hate that.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
