Important installation instructions! Before installing and playing this mod, you must completely uninstall any previous versions of Kaidan and create a clean save!

Kaidan Follower Mod has been completely rebuilt from the ground up, with tons of new features for you to explore. He writes about being your dragon's immersive companion or lover, responsive to tasks and choices. Advancing your relationship with him doesn't depend on any quests, instead you're encouraged to interact with him and see your relationship develop over time.

start:

On startup, you'll receive a quest prompting you to find Kaidan in an abandoned prison, and he can become your follower upon release. (There is a vanilla bug in the Abandoned Prison that can lose track of followers when leaving, or place them across the river. This bug should be fixed with the unofficial Skyrim patch, otherwise fast traveling, or waiting on the road should do the trick)

Kaidan's equipment can be found in prisoner item chests inside the Abandoned Prison and can be upgraded.

Kaidan also has his own AI system that does not increase your number of followers, but this may cause conflicts with follower mode. It's highly recommended that you create a save game before trying to use features like Amazing Follower Tweaks, just in case you mess with his brain.

Tracking him is now easier than ever; a single dialogue prompt will allow you to track him around the map, and early on you'll gain a power that summons him in a relatively friendly manner.

romantic:

Advancing your relationship no longer depends on triggering conversations in different places, instead, more conversations and more of Kaidan's story will be unlocked over time.

To trigger Kaidan's romantic dialogue, wear Mara's Amulet and talk to him. After the initial conversation is completed, you no longer need to wear the amulet; the romance questline will continue. However, be careful about your choices when interacting with him - it could change the course of your relationship!

If you don't want to trigger the Strange Romance questline, it's as simple as not talking to him while wearing Mara's amulet. In addition to flirting and courtship, he will continue to provide you with an immersive companionship.

Appear:

Kaidan has custom hair, eyebrows and eyes, although nothing about his body has been changed. This is to make him compatible and fit into the aesthetics of the player's chosen body model, rather than adding any unintended revelations to the game.
