This mod simply makes all interiors in Skyrim darker.
This mod simply darkens all interiors in Skyrim. This means the interiors of buildings, caves, ruins, sewers and dungeons.
The sewers are the darkest, very close to black, but not too black. Caves, ruins, and other dungeons are a little brighter, but still quite dark. Buildings are noticeably lighter, but still much darker than vanilla.
I know there are other mods that do this, but this is my version.
This mod should be compatible with everything that doesn't do the same thing. That should include mods that can change the lighting (light source) of the room.
There is also an optional file called "Simply Better Lighting". This is a precursor/teaser of my plan to redo all lighting (light sources) in Skyrim. It changes the lighting in all "public" buildings to white, meaning all buildings that are not private residences.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
