This mod just makes the nights in Skyrim darker.
It always bothered me how ugly and bright the nights in Vanilla Skyrim are, so I made this to fix that!
There are lots of great mods out there that do the same thing, but this is my own version and I think it performs really well! It's not black, but much darker than vanilla. I've tried my best to make sure they look and feel as natural as possible. I also made a flashlight mockup (Simply Better Torches) to make the flashlight's light warmer and brighter. I strongly recommend you to use this feature. I can also suggest another module called "Saturation Increase by Simtar123" which I think looks really nice. Bright colorful days and dark nights. Not sure about compatibility, but may conflict with other major weather overhauls (such as Tamriel's climate).
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
