About this mod Machine translation

Added Branwen from Queen's Blade to Skyrim.

describe

Branwen from Queen's Blade. In the anime, she's apparently half-dragon or dragon-blooded. She is also a dragon knight. Of course, dragons are different in the TES universe. My understanding of the legend is that dragons in TES hate being ridden, and exceptions only occur on special occasions such as Skyrim. Despite this, the dragon is shown to be wise, intelligent, and human-like, and not a hive-minded creature. So even if they are considered evil or cruel in nature, I can imagine there are other dragons like Paarthurnax who decided to live a peaceful life.

So for Branwen, I decided to make her not a born dragon so it wouldn't tarnish the lore. Instead, she'll be great at yelling that people will mistake her for a dragon. She's good at yelling, thanks to a dragon friend she made with a hammer, who lived in a small village or somewhere where everyone kept secrets, and taught them dragon yells to protect themselves or something. This way she's still somewhat friendly but also stays true to her character.

I knew she had two different colored eyes, but after hours of trying to figure it out, no matter what I did, she ended up with one missing eye. I'll get back to her (and Lucoa) if I figure it out.

background

Branwen is a Redguard lady who grew up in Hammerfell. She lives in a small town with a dragon that secretly lives underground. As a little girl she would wander there to see the dragon and talk to him about her day and he would share stories with her. As she grew older and learned to fight as a warrior, he taught her how to shout like a dragon, giving her an advantage and earning her a reputation as a dragon warrior. The dragon yelled at other warriors in the village, but due to their strong friendship, he taught Branwen his powerful cry.

One day, a group of bandits and sword sellers attacked the village. A local crimelord hears rumors about the village of "Dragon's Tip" and uses his small band of gangsters to try and obtain the dragon. The village fought well, but when they threatened the dragon's life, they surrendered, including Branwen. The dragon is too weak to fight and can no longer fly. They were all taken as slaves and some were sold. Criuraord, Dogura, is a very short and rounded orc who is believed to be a shape-shifting goblin. Many people suspect that he is actually a goblin who simply claims to be an orc so people will do business with him. Dogura keeps the dragon and his trophies and pets, and makes Branwen his gladiator and the arena's money-making gladiator.

For several years, Branwen fought as a gladiator in underground battles. She often thinks about killing Dogura, but knows that if she does, his henchmen will kill the dragon. The dragon sees her pain and has no hope of living a good life. So he used his last remaining strength to break free and find his way to Branwen in her room. As a small group of followers approached them, the dragon spoke three words to her: "Dovah.Aav.Sil." Or Dovah joins the soul. The dragon turned into a bright flame and nodded calmly to Branwen. She stared at him with tears in her eyes. His body began to disappear into a swirling stream of light flowing into her. With about 80 followers standing in front of her, as well as a dragon skeleton, she unleashed her full power and didn't hold back. She kills everyone, mostly with her screams. With sword and shield in hand, she unceremoniously kills Dogura.

After wandering around Hammerfeld, busting a human trafficking operation and meeting some familiar faces from her village along the way, several years have passed since then. She is now prowling the sky, hoping to fight injustice. She had also heard that a dragon had been sighted and wanted to see for herself if there were others like her old friend. She also wears her gladiator armor, which Dou had her wear to remind her of the dragon's sacrifice.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
