Jinx the Loose Cannon: Jinx lives his life without much thought, leaving a trail of chaos and panic in his wake. A manic and impulsive criminal, she simply despises boredom and gleefully unleashes her own volatile brand of chaos into the place she finds most boring: Piltover. Armed with a lethal arsenal of toys, she unleashes the brightest explosions and the loudest explosions - much to the shock and amazement of the hapless authorities. Always outside the bounds of the law, Jinx's favorite game is playing with Piltover's most fun toys - especially Vi.

Piltover has long been known as the City of Progress, a place where peace and order reigned. This tranquility is challenged when a new breed of criminal arrives, the likes of whom have never been seen before. The mysterious gangster unleashes a series of warping and destructive irritants, endangering the entire city and leaving people reeling from the worst crime spree in Piltover's history.

The lawbreakers emerge as a series of crimes hit the city with no rhyme or reason. Although the young woman's origins are a mystery, some see traces of Piltover hextech in her firearms, while others describe Zaun's street fashion in her clothing. Because her arrival always brought trouble, those who crossed her path quickly gave her a name: Jinx.

Jinx's rampage escalates. Caitlyn - Piltover's Sheriff - responded by declaring a state of emergency and organizing a city-wide manhunt. In typical Jinx fashion, the criminals mark the Piltover Vault, the city's most secure building, as a direct challenge to its most abrasive officers. As Vi's face flashes over the exterior of the Treasury, along with the time and date of her alleged attack, Jinx blatantly dares the enforcer to stop her from robbing it.

To keep the troublemaker at bay, Vi watched and waited outside the treasury until Jinx's time finally came. True to her scrawled promise, the menace of a smile showed across her face. Knowing this was her chance to catch the gangster, Vi chased her through the building's interior. She smashed the wall and chased Jinx, laughing as she set the evacuated vault on fire with a fiery explosion. Vi finally cornered the criminals inside the vault, but Jinx wasn't done yet. She laughed maniacally and fired a barrage of rockets, bringing the entire building down on them.

When Vi finally climbed out of the rubble, the battered enforcers found no trace of Jinx. Add insult to injury and not an ounce of gold was removed from the breached vault. Instead, the criminal left a parting message for her favorite law enforcement officer - a challenge that can only now be seen through the wide open spaces of the Piltover skyline. The city lights spell out a simple taunt: You'll never catch me. As Vi read the news, she heard the distant laughter of her new nemesis, and the city plunged into complete darkness for the first time.
