About this mod Machine translation
An ENB preset with a cartoon and transparent shadow analogue for use in Borderlands. It features a hyper-realistic, colorful watercolor shader that will transform your Skyrim into a work of art. Impressionism and cartoons, not realism, praise Manet!
inspiration
This mod attempts a bold hybrid approach: taking a cartoon-like transparent shadow look with dense visible edges, combined with the aesthetics of gouache, inspired by late Baroque artists like Vermeer and Impressionist painters like Renoir, Manet, Degat, and friends. Everything glows and the colors pop. The experience is surreal, vivid, restrained, and tinged with a touch of wonder. This isn't real ENB, it's not next-gen, and it doesn't require 4K Texture Mods or perfect LODs to look good. This has nothing to do with graphics, ever. It's all about aesthetics, baby. enjoy your meal.
expose
This ENB is based on a shader from talented modder JesusFitzRoy, I just played around with the settings and came up with a unique preset. If you want to dig deeper and modify this shader yourself, the file that enables the comic and painterly look is called "enbeffectpostpass.fx". It's fun to play with these settings :~)
WARNING: Please note that this shader is designed for Skyrim Special Edition! I've successfully used it with Skyrim Legendary Edition, but you may encounter bugs or glitches. The author will release an updated version soon, and then I'll re-upload a new version :)
Install
To install, just download from . Use the wrapper version and paste the following files: d3d9.dll, enbhost.exe, enblocal.ini and enbseries.ini into your Skyrim folder, not the /Data folder!
Next, download the file provided here. Just unzip, copy and paste the enbseries folder directly into your Skyrim folder, just like you just put all the other files in it. That's it, all you have to do is run Skyrim, hit Shift+Enter for the in-game overlay, adjust the values, and have fun!
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
