About this mod Machine translation
The immersive world encounter game is designed to enhance your gaming experience by adding over 70 new random events as well as modifying some regular events to make it more diverse and engaging for more people.
Immersive World Encounters expands on vanilla random events by adding approximately 70 new random world encounters and 16 world interaction events.
These new events will occur randomly as soon as you install them into your game.
It comes with a handy MCM that lets you configure every aspect of the mod, including switching from
Certain random events for vanilla and mod.
The mod debuted on July 1, 2018.
I've been steadily working on this mod project since then, as I believe there is great potential to make the game even more fun within the scope of adding more interesting random events to Skyrim.
Thanks very much to the 15 voice actors who worked very, very hard on this project, Immersive World Encounters adds a variety of NPCs that can be interacted with during these special random events. These NPCs function like other vanilla NPCs, with fully valid generic and combat dialogue lines.
So, what are random events?
2 types of random events exist in Skyrim: World Encounters (WE) and World Interactions (WI). As you explore the wilderness of Skyrim,
We will hold WE events. Notable WE events from vanilla include but are not limited to:
An old orc, with 2 dead Sabrecats, wants a "good death"
Alik'r warrior interrogates Redguard woman before completing mission 'In time of my need'
Imperial soldiers escorting Northern prisoners
Vigilantes from Stendahl, Talmo and other factions ambush players
These events are triggered when you walk into certain areas in the wilderness. The reason why you see so many random people outside the north gate of Riften is because this area is one of the locations where the WE incident occurred.
"World Encounters" are an interesting idea, although they are almost all about ideas. Typical WE events are usually (a) level NPCs ambushing players or confronting each other, or (b) strange NPCs wandering around. The problem with (a) is that because everything has to happen on the fly, the NPCs are reduced to killing machines with different equipment and simply attacking enemies on sight. After a few alert Stendarr attacks, this became boring. Some of the NPCs you meet in (b) are truly memorable, but after a few "old orc" encounters, you realize they're just generic NPCs with nothing to say.
Not only by increasing the number of events and reducing the chance of watching the same event twice a day, Immersive World Encounters also strives to bring WE events that are diverse and have different outcomes afterwards. These are accomplished through the introduction of new voiced NPCs that are unique and can provide you with quests, events with different endings, and events that are unlocked as the player progresses through the quests.
WI events vary widely. They are triggered based on certain actions of the player, such as killing NPCs, stealing, obtaining specific items, entering unique locations such as taverns and castles, and more. These events include but are not limited to:
Notes sent to you by other NPCs
NPCs will comment when you contract a disease or run away
Calcelmo claims your most recently claimed dwarven items
Entering the tavern, the innkeeper said welcome
Put down an item and nearby NPCs will start fighting for it.
Vanilla world interactive events are like a loose bunch of jumping dogs; only the crazy god knows exactly when these events are triggered and when, they are completely random events like the witch sending out goons after you or the NPCs start killing each other after a few bot conversations etc. Skyrim is an awesome game with stunning visuals and a detailed world. But a lot of the time it somehow spun out of the pocket with some ridiculous moments like Forgotten, and while they were fun and enjoyable, I often wished for more unique interactions with less repetition, funnier dialo …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
