About this mod Machine translation

Get ready to take a dip in Skyrim. Hobo Robes allows you to craft versions of beggar robes and armor using immersive crafting mechanics.

Want to play beggar? Do you have a contract with the Thieves Guild or Dark Brotherhood that should integrate with Skyrim's homeless community? Are you a risk-taker who stretches too many arrows to your knees, develops a Skoma problem, and falls down on hard times? Have you caught Faendal with your wife and tried to drown out the trouble in North Mead? Maybe you're just a dirty thing. Either way, this mod might be for you. I highly recommend using the mod that allows you to beg for food, like becoming a beggar by MimiTheAlchemist, if you want to roleplay as a hobo.

I've made the beggar's clothes craftable and the armor version craftable and immersive. I also selected a few select items with interesting enchantments and placed them in Riften's Thieves Guild cache. It's behind the Players House.

To make regular ragged clothes, a hat, and boots, you'll need some linen (which looks like a dungeon) and some strips of leather to hold it all together. These can be crafted at the Leather Crafting Station. If you were to make an armored version called Rugged Beggar's Robes/Boots/Hat, you'd need more, linen wraps, leather, leather strips, fox skin, and troll fat (to make it waterproof). The armored version can also be crafted at the Leatherworking Station, but will be improved at the Armor Station. You don't need stunts to make these. You should be able to disenchant most enchanted items found in Riften, and if you also have a Hobo follower, you have two options.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
