Highwatch HFX

About this mod Machine translation
This is a completely new rebuild of the original Peregrine Highwatch, with tons of new features added that integrate a lot of the content from some of the DLCs.
Looking forward
This mod was developed immediately after the original Peregrine Highwatch was released in 2014, and was designed to incorporate most, if not all, of the features in Hearthfire, as well as expand the original mod's accessibility features. However, due to issues IRL, I stopped working on the project after about eight months and put it back where it belongs.
The decision to revive the project came after I took a break last year, along with a series of rebuilt Hearth Fireplace and Hot Bath mods. I started the second week of January and threw out a lot of stuff and tried to completely simplify the mod. Additionally, I've included new features that may be helpful to most players by leveraging many of the DLC assets.
Now that I've finished HFX some four years later, I do hope you'll find this mod meets many of your expectations and more.
Curt Reminder required
DLC! This mod requires the latest version of Skyrim, as well as the Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn DLC.
Performance Although all possible optimizations have been performed to ensure acceptable responsiveness, this mod assumes your PC has
(1) Quad-core processor with good single-thread performance
(2) At least 8gb memory
(3) Or at least a GTX970 or R7 series GPU with at least 3gb VRAM,
Preferably (4) SSD drives as this mod is resource intensive.
Make sure you also have (1) crash fix (2) SKSE memory patch (3) ENBoost installed and configured.
I also cannot guarantee that the mod will work on lower-tier systems and video cards, as well as most laptops; the game may become unresponsive on such systems.
Save first! Before installing and using this mod, please make sure you have created a gameave to ensure coverage in case of any emergency.
Compatibility Please note that any other mod occupying the same external unit as Peregrine Highwatch may cause issues such as navmesh conflicts causing CTD, objects getting caught by other objects or NPCs getting stuck mid-step.
Test Drive For Mod Organizer users, I also recommend creating a test profile, an exact copy of your main playback profile, so you can playtest the mod before introducing it to your main game.
Uninstall instructions
To uninstall this mod, first remove all items from the house, store them in your character, and in-game protection in any indoor cell except Peregrine Highwatch, Underground Cave, or Nameless Fire, then exit Skyrim and deactivate this mod from your mobile Mod Manager.
Location
The new Peregrine Highwatch is located near Honningbrew Meadery and the White River Bridge. Directly above it is the White River Watchtower.
To buy a house, prepare 20,000 pieces of gold. This is because I built the mod as an in-game reward and a way to sink the massive amounts of money I've accumulated since level one.
Function
This mod is designed to accommodate and support the player character, as well as his or her spouse, six adopted children (using Hearth Multi-Adoption), five individual residences (using EFF, AFT, or My Home Is Your Home), plus two underground caves.
Features include
All crafting stations, plus a staff enchantment (usually found in Tel Mithryn).
A complete storage cloud covering the entire property that can be accessed and dropped remotely anywhere in the building quickly. There is also non-cloud non-resettable storage.
2 swimming pools and 1 bath with Frostfall support. Automatic striping of followers is also included. The player character does not have an automatic release device, which would allow for greater control over the clothing that is taken off and then put on (such as towels from Apachii's Divine Elegance Store).
Multiple bookshelves store collected documents and files.
Weapon and shield display stand.
Four armor dummies can store and display valuable armor.
There are 30 plantations in and around t …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
