About this mod Machine translation

The most rigorous inventory management module yet. With Hardcore Capacity, you're limited to the smallest set of gear imaginable, allowing you to carry only a few weapons, a dozen potions, and a horrendous amount of other items.

Overview

So far, there has not been a stable capacity module that can actually represent real life to some extent. Even my own "realistic abilities" mod is completely tolerant of the laws of physics and fails to be fully lifelike. The problem is that you carry different items differently. Weapons on the back, arrows in the quiver, spacers in the coin pouch, and other items in satchels and backpacks. This mod takes all of this into account.

With this mod, your strength is no longer tied to your carrying capacity. Your strength will determine how much weight you can carry before it becomes unbearable, but only MCM will determine how much personal belongings you can carry before you become unbearable.

You can only carry so many items before you overload:

2 large weapons: battle axe, war hammer, great sword, staff, bow and arrow

4 medium weapons: Sword, Scepter, Battle Ax, Cross

6 small arms: dagger

2 shields

50 arrows

25 bolts

15 potions or poisons

250 coins

5 Big Items: More than 3 units of chest armor or miscellaneous items

or

15 medium items: clothing, gloves, boots, helmets, items of food that weigh more than 1 unit, scrolls, books, or other miscellaneous items that weigh more than 1 unit

or

45 small items: jewelry or accessories, less than 1 unit of food by weight, more than 1 unit of ingredients or more than 0.5 units of miscellaneous items

or

135 small items: ingredients weighing less than 1 unit, and all other non-weightless items,

Please note that large, medium, small and small items share the capacity space, so if you carry 5 large items and 1 small item you will end up in capacity. Plus, if you're wearing a supported backpack, your coin capacity is doubled; and large, medium, small, and small items are doubled. See the compatibility section.

If you exceed these limits, you can still run, but you won't be able to use weapons or spells because you'll be carrying extra stuff in your hands. Therefore, you can still bring treasure from the dungeon, but you'd better make sure everything in the dungeon is dead before doing so, or have bodyguards ready.

Speaking of entourage, they have support, too. If a minion with you is super powered, they will be unable to fight and will seek cover during combat. So unless you don't plan on using them as a bodyguard, you won't be able to use them as a backpack.

Starting with version 1.1, you can disable coin, potion, and ammo tracking. If you feel that limiting these items is too extreme, you can bring an unlimited number of items. Detect using CurrentFollowerFaction

tracker. Therefore, it is still possible to take advantage of followers using your own system.

Install

Install via your favorite Mod Manager, or drag and drop files into the Data folder (if you're a masochist).

When uninstalling or updating, make sure to disable the mod via MCM first and make a clean save.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
