This is a reworked and updated "Incredible Grass 2" module. Added lots of grass (variety) to different areas of Skyrim. Grasses suitable for different regions are carefully selected. It is tuned to improve performance while still providing high grass density.

Official continuation and complete rework/overhaul. This mod adds many grasses (of many varieties) to different areas of Skyrim. Grasses suitable for different regions are carefully selected. It is tuned to improve performance while still providing high grass density. Just take a look at the screenshots to see the exact changes, as well as a Skyrim landscape using this mod. This mod contains its own .ini file which will force these settings into the game without changing any ini settings. If you still want to change the grass density, browse further under Installation. The textures are 2k and 1k respectively and are optimized for performance. Solstheim is also supported.

Install

Very simple. Just install the mod using the mod manager and enable UG2redux.esp.

The mod contains its own .ini file with the required settings, so you don't need to make any additional .ini edits. If you want to change the grass density, open the ug2redux.ini file and change iMinGrassSize = 58 to a higher number for better performance but to a smaller number or to a lower number for higher density (I don't recommend this because the ini is already set to high grass density).

performance

Although this mod has performance tweaks, that doesn't mean this mod won't have an impact on your performance. It will definitely affect it, especially if iMinGrassSize is set lower. This will also be highly dependent on your system, ENB, and settings used by this mod.

compatibility

This mod is compatible with almost all mods. Except with other grass mods. If you want to use Skyrim Flora Overaul with this, just install this mod after SFO and load it after SFO in the load order so that it can overwrite certain changes in SFO.

The grass fixes from the previous version have been merged with the main file and many places have indeed been edited to prevent ugly grass trimming. You may also encounter some clipping so there are still a lot of locations, these will be fixed with further updates. Although the mod does have edits in places, it should be compatible with everything. If using a mod that adds a large number of objects to the Skyrim landscape, make sure to load the esp file after UG2redux.esp.
