Add some highly dynamic haunting-style encounters throughout Falkreath Hold to add some spookiness to your Skyrim this Halloween.

To get everyone in the Halloween spirit, I've added some creepy encounters to Falkreath Hold: two dynamic boss-style battles, a passive ghost in the Falkreath Cemetery at night (in a small attempt to free the soul), and some unique rewards.

Local legend tells of the shadowy sprigs that roam the Falkreath Forest, emerging from the trees and disappearing into them like ghosts. During the day, the ghosts of the woods will just scare you. But if it happens to fall on you after dark...

How do you fight a beast that disappears in one hit?

Lady "Lady of the Lake, now that's a spirit I don't want to see."

Scholars do not agree on the haunted nature of Lake Ilinalta, but only the stupidest question the fact that danger exists there. Some believe its roots lie in the deaths of hundreds of Imperial soldiers who once occupied Fort Ilinalta. Others believe the phenomenon is much older than the fort itself. Regardless, scary apparitions are said to appear at night, and mysterious will-o'wisps dance on the lakeshore after dusk. Superstition claims that any foolish traveler who follows these fairies will fall into the lady's icy grasp.

Phantom at Falkreath Cemetery

"They say these ghosts roaming our cemeteries at night are harmless, just lost souls...but I think I'll keep my distance."

In recent years, a sense of unease about the dead has plagued Falkreath's cemetery. Some people claim to recognize their friends and family in visions. No one knows how to free these spirits, but a keen eye may notice strange iconography hidden around the city... Do these items bind spirits to Tamriel?

Each encounter brings a unique reward: a plethora of morphing spells with eyes and legs, a powerful frost spell, and even a spooky Halloween mask!

Lady Ilinata:

To face Lady Ilinata, you must find and follow her elves. You can find one on the south shore of Lake Ilinata after sunset. Ready to fight.

ghost:

The forest ghosts hold vast territory in the forests west of Falkreath. If you look around, you'll probably see it soon. It is a formidable opponent, so it may be wise to explore the woods only during daylight hours. At night, the ghost will attack any time you get close to it (or it gets close to you).

General:

All combat should be based on player level, from a minimum of 10 to a maximum of 80. All creatures do not respawn.

Lady and Ghost are script-heavy encounters, but their scripts won't run when you're not in the encounter, and their scripts will turn off when you kill the respective creature.

Install:

Use Mod Manager or install manually. Enable the file ogFalkreathHauntings.esp and place it at the bottom of the load order.

uninstall:

If you want to uninstall, revert to the saved state from the state before installing this mod.

conflict:"

"Moon and Stars" adds content that overlaps with Lady Ilinata's encounters. It won't break anything, but may reduce the quality of Lady's encounters. A patch is planned. (Update: I couldn't get the navigation to work properly in the patch. I don't know how to fix it. It won't be released.)

The large city of Falkreath has the addition of fortress walls, which may disrupt the follow-the-ghost phase of the Phantom mission, but you can work around this by leaving Falkreath and waiting a few more hours.

Any mods editing the same area are likely to conflict.

If a mod edits the same navigation around Lake Ilinalta, it may prevent you from encountering Lady Ilinalta.
