About this mod Machine translation
Simple addition to the default follower system. Allows players to increase or decrease the distance of their minions/creature companions from them through dialogue.

Simple add-on to the default follower system. Allows the player to increase or decrease the distance of their humanoid followers from them through dialogue.
Only tested with a single follower/single creature setup.
General materials
You might have wandered around the Norse ruins thinking, "Hmm, I want to get ahead of my followers and clear out some Draugr in secret," or maybe walked around town thinking, "My followers are more friends than mule, and hopefully they'll come close to me (think: walk side by side)."
If not, then this mod isn't for you. However, if you have this mod, you can have your minions/creature companions closer or further away from you than in vanilla.
It has 4 distances:
Closed: The follower stands almost behind you.
Center: Same as vanilla, a few feet behind you.
Far: There is not enough space for them to trigger a trap that you successfully pass until you are completely out of the trap area.
Really Far: In most Norse ruins, you probably have enough space for a follower to follow from 2 rooms away.
By default, your followers follow at a medium distance.
This mod also attempts to fix hunting bows possessed by followers.

The mod will take effect immediately after installation. To be on the safe side, you should probably fire all your followers first.
Install
Turn off your followers.
- Use Mod Manager [MO, Vortex] and activate the plugin.
- For manual installation, move FollowerDistance.BSA and FollowerDistance.ESP to the data folder and activate the plugin.
renew
Turn off your followers.
Enter other cells (exit building or something)
- Use Mod Manager [MO, Vortex] and install the old files, then activate the plugin.
- For manual installation, move FollowerDistance.BSA and FollowerDistance.ESP to the data folder, overwrite the old files and activate the plugin.
uninstall
Cancel your followers.
-Deactivate plugins.
-For those who installed manually, please delete FollowerDistance.BSA and FollowerDistance.ESP from the data folder
compatibility
Any module that changes the default DialogueFollower task record is incompatible.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
