About this mod Machine translation
Three brand new and one recycled doors in Windhelm (protecting nature...). As always the models and textures were made from scratch.
Windhelm's gate has always annoyed me.
Windhelm doesn't have much love for it textures and models wise so cities will definitely be my next mod.
If you look at the vanilla door for too long, a quick eye cancer may jump in your face.
Noble has a nice texture, so my wooden architectural doors were very inspired by it.
By the way, Whiterun Gantry's great noble texture is the only reason I didn't create a Whiterun replacement.
For the gray quarter door I went for a very basic style, like the door I made for Riften, but with more details.
Of course I had to add some snow to it and even left 3d snow on one of the boards.
Yes I know it's displayed internally too, which might take 1% off your immersion but well... you'll get over it.
As an update to the picture I uploaded a few days ago, I've resized the metal door used in Candlehearth Hall (and elsewhere) and made it look really used and dirty.
I moved the clean metal door to the interior of the palace, which uses the textures from my mod Marvelous Windhelm Gate, so this mod is required.
Installation and compatibility
I highly recommend MO2 as a mod manager.
There shouldn't be any compatibility issues with this mod.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
