About this mod Machine translation

Racemenu preset for my dragon clan, just for fun.

Racemenu preset for my dumbass dragonborn Fanris, just for fun. If you follow me on Tumblr (I'm @doomedteaparty!) then you most likely already know who he is.

Despite its good looks, Fanris is technically a Breton in competition. I gave him Bosmer eyes using Cross Racial Features, although this shouldn't require that mod to work (? Please tell me if I'm wrong). Of course, this means that if you change his eyes in the game, you will no longer be able to restore the original eyes.

There are two presets included: the original version and the "Lite" version, which does not require any mods. .

Requests (I know, I know, it’s a lot):

  • Northborn Scar

-Skin feature overlay

  • Dalish Vallaslin
  • ApachiiSkyHairMale

Required, but not important (just a replacer; feel free to use other replacers or none at all, but he looks nothing like the one in my screenshot):

  • Better men
  • Forsworn and Blackblood and Boethiah Tattoos 2k
  • Eyebrow mirror repair
  • Eye normal map repair
  • ApachiiSkyHair Natural Retexture
  • XCE - Xenius Character Enhancement (eye textures only - I personally installed the Better Males textures on top of it while keeping the rest of the files)

The "Fanris_Base" preset doesn't rely on any modding, using vanilla hair and pretty much just his facial structure and coloring. .

Known issues:

There are some minor misshapen/mesh issues around the eyelids and ears (due to Skyrim's low poly head model, blocking/pixel y mesh).

Depending on how picky you are, this might be a deal breaker for you...or not. Of course, if you have better experience sculpting the head than I did, feel free to improve the shape of his face, give it a funky new haircut, remove his body and facial scars, whatever.

Be very careful when reshaping him; if the slider rises too far, his scars will tend to "pinch" his cheeks. (Technically, Skyrim's scars are drawn on a separate "mesh" that wraps tightly around the character's cheek. If a character's facial features are very exaggerated, sometimes this mesh will sink into the character's head or float awkwardly in front of it.)

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
