describe
Enderal is an absolutely beautiful place, with a strong internal logic and an attention to detail that regular Skyrim severely lacks. I was even more surprised when I purchased a slightly cheaper player house on Ark's Marketplace. It feels like it hasn't changed since the early stages of development and is on par with the rest of the beautifully crafted interiors found in this fantastic game world. First I tried modifying it in-game using the console and Build Mode, but even after a lot of fiddling I couldn't get the position the way I wanted.
So I went into CK and changed the interior of the house to my own personal taste. There's now more storage space, some adjustments to the lighting, the ugly and nonfunctional display cabinet was removed, and - perhaps most importantly - there's now a cooking pot.
I also increased the price of the Deed from the 450 base price to 2500, which works out to around 6500p if you don't have any additional investment or points in Rhetoric. It now costs 4,000p to renovate your home (instead of 300p), so be prepared to save some money. Also, use Build Mode to put in some craftable furniture. Please note that all workable furniture should be removed before using the message board to purchase additional furniture.
Clean manually in Tes5Edit.
feature
- All old crafting stations (alchemy, enchantment devices, workbench) and cooking utensils
- a table you can actually eat at
-More storage space, especially upstairs
- Add more chaos to immerse yourself in the daily life of the Prophet
-No more display cabinets.
-No models. If you want one, make a placeable one and place it next to your bedroom door.
- There are no vanilla-flavored functional bookshelves (for you to obviously fill), as Enderal is currently technically impossible.
-No functional day/night cycle as that doesn't seem to be possible in Enderal either.
NOTE: For consistency, this mod also increases the price of Noble player houses, including deeds and furnishings. I plan on remodeling that house too, so when that happens you might have enough money to pay for it again. The reason for this is also technical, as the furniture prices for both houses are set in the same script, so this is my way of avoiding compatibility issues in the future.
future plans
Do the same for other player houses in the Noble District. I haven't seen anything from the inside yet, though, and I still have to pay off a "loan" to buy my first home, so it might be a while before we know.
I also saw a request on Reddit to turn Old Waterworks into a players home. I agree it's a great place to have it, and I do have vague plans to create it. Although there is no commitment regarding ETA.
Install/Uninstall
Use NMM. I hope this approach is enough. However, since this is my first time uploading a mod that requires more than just ESP, here are some instructions in case NMM doesn't install it properly:
Download the main file manually. Extract it and put the .ESP into the Data folder (just like any other ESP). Place the .pex files in Data/Scripts/Source and the .psc files in Data/Scripts/Source. You should probably back up the original file first before overwriting it.
If NMM doesn't work the way I want it to, please let me know in the comments section.
When installing midgame after you've already purchased your furniture, use the message board to sell your furniture again. Then activate the module to buy furniture at a higher price, and note that you're likely to have some floating movable clutter, especially wine glasses on the table near the door. This is because the Havoc data (i.e., the exact location where the item was placed) is baked into the save game. To clean out your house, either pick up all these things and sell them (the …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
