About this mod Machine translation
This is a temporary solution for those of us who like our elves to look like elves.
Will keep this sales ad as there is very important information to cover and the average user doesn't even read the description, so thank you very much for getting it through the first sentence.
I love Reach's Charmers. It does the same thing OCOv2 did for Oblivion, basically revolutionizing character creation in Skyrim. If you're unfamiliar with any of the models I'm talking about, click on the "Requirements" tag above that text labeled "Charmers of Reach" and search for OCOv2 on Oblivion. You will be delighted.
I digress, the elves in this mod get the short end of the stick - at least until they update it, and I assure you, they worked hard. But until the update rolls out, you can thank me for making your elf an elf again. Sorry, I don't have a signature (lmao)
Now that I'm done showing off, there are a few things you need to know before downloading this mod. This is a temporary fix. And solve the problem through temporary fixes. They are not perfect solutions.
In order for elves to seek out your elves, your non-elven races will also look like elves. This is because both elves and humans use the same normal map file. I tried fixing it with Creation Kit, but to no avail. I would leave the actual development to the actual development.
Okay, now that you've (sort of) read these words, here's what they mean:
You must make a backup file of the default in-box normal map file. To do this, navigate to
Skyrim> data> textures> COR! >head.
There, copy the very colorful looking stretched face and paste it somewhere where you won't lose it. If there are two files, then only the default file is required.
Now, install my files manually by unzipping them and pasting the contents into your skyrim directory (in a folder called "skyrim") or inserting it into your mod manager and activating it.
Your elves now look like elves, the only problem is that your humans look like elves too. This is a temporary fix for the issue. I'm sure you've probably figured out what to do when you want to play a human. Undo the installation process and copy your saved original normal map to a safe location and paste it back to the origin.
Thank you for reading the instructions. You've earned a fishy taste.
MOD:
This mod requires one or more additional files to work properly.
Please make sure you have installed the files correctly before trying to use this file.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
