About this mod Machine translation

Convert yourself or your followers into the lost type of dwarf automaton, which comes with a collection of interchangeable parts.

(Female characters only)

In the final decades of the dwarven race, the Dwemer of Skyrim were in a state of war. The remnants of the conquered Snow Elves rebel against the cruel masters who blinded and enslaved them centuries ago, and the Dwemer find themselves facing a ruthless enemy deep within the heart of their work. Seeking a new weapon to fight back this rebellion, some of the Dwarf's tribal researchers built on earlier experiments and found a way to combine the signature achievements of the Dwarves' automatons with the fighting talents of the Falmer's natural enemies, the Nords.

The pinnacle of this work was the modular automaton design, a humanoid structural model with interchangeable body parts that allowed for a greater variety of fighting styles than existing automatons, and the implantation of dwarf human test subjects into them to exploit their more flexible tactical minds. The plan is to seize warriors from the human cities and use them as the basis of an entire army of these brass armies, and once the tunnels have been cleared out of poor Falmer, perhaps they will be returned to the surface, conquering it in the name of the dwarves as well.

Fortunately for the Lords of Skyrim, the Battle of Red Mountain put an end to every dwarf plan. Before the Dwemer disappeared from Nirn, only a few prototype lines were built, and only a few unfortunate test subjects remained in empty laboratories. Perhaps due to the preferences of the researchers behind the project, each of these test subjects was female. The male warrior design was never produced, and only the initial "Maiden" series was completed before the end. No one knows where these missing items are hidden. Few suggest they ever existed. But recently, things have changed. The last soldiers of the Dwemer finally see the light of day. ...new ones are being built.

The Dwarven Modular Automaton is a body-replacement rig that can be used to transform players or NPCs into robotic constructs. It does this in the most straightforward way using Skyrim's basic gear slotting system.

Head system

The subject's head may be implanted directly onto the robot body, or may be further supported by the neck frame (slot 45) and enclosed within a glass dome (slot 31). Alternatively, the brain itself can be removed and encased in a glass or armored capsule in a replacement head structure (trough 30). It is also possible to copy the subject's ideas into a set of crystal substrates (trough 43) and mount them into a dedicated frame. Faces copied from 10 original test subjects were crafted for the replacement heads, with fifty different expressions in three materials - flesh, cast brass and stone - with 150 options available (slot 44). A "null" face consisting only of eyes is also available, as well as two animal-based masks and a variety of head coverings.

core system

The upper torso (slot 32) serves as the base of the construct, containing the heart crystal that combines with the Aetheric Body to power the machine, the processing element of the magnetic-magnetic joint system that allows the construct to move through a wider range of motion than is physically available, and mana storage tanks to replace the mana pool of the subject's original body. Various models were produced with different armor designs and capacities.

Pelvis and limb types

The lower torso and hips (slot 49), arms (slot 33) and legs/feet (slot 37) are divided into three main types, with two limb subtypes. Alternative versions of the pelvis are provided to allow a degree of interchangeability between leg types, as well as a legless "unassembled" version for decorative purposes.

Type B - Based on Nisetanaka's Dwarven Bikini Cyborg, this type of pelvis features a skeletal design for more inhuman automatons. It comes with Model B for B-type legs and Model E for E-type based legs. Two vers …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
