About this mod Machine translation

This mod turns your crafty vanilla dwarf spider into a realistic mechanized spider by replacing the vanilla skeleton with a custom one. This mod showcases dwarven craftsmanship and increases your Arachnophobia and immersion level by 101%!

[[[MOD Description]]]

If you're like me and have been disappointed with vanilla dwarf spiders, then this mod is for you. This mod replaces the vanilla dwarf spider skeleton with a new custom skeleton designed to give Skyrim dwarf spiders a more simulated mechanical spider appearance. Working within the confines of the vanilla web, I adjusted the limbs and body, making some subtle changes to the dwarf spider, and the result is a dwarf spider that will terrify and fill any cunning adventurer with the depths of Skyrim. This affects all dwarven spiders in Skyrim.

[[[MOD COMPATIBILITY]]]

Dreaded Dwarven Spiders use a custom skeleton for vanilla dwarven spiders and will override any mods that change the skeleton of vanilla dwarven spiders. Mods that make radical changes to the vanilla skeleton, such as "Realistic Ragdoll and Force" should be compatible as long as "Dreaded Dwarven Spiders" is installed after these mods and allows its files to be overwritten.

Should be fully compatible with any texture mod, as this mod does not contain its own skeleton-only textures. This also makes it compatible with most other creature models that don't edit vanilla skeletons.

[[[INSTALLATION]]]

It is recommended to use Mod Manager or your favorite mod manager.

Install "Dreaded Dwarven Spiders" after any mod that makes changes to vanilla dwarven spiders, and click "Yes to all" when prompted to overwrite any files.

There is no "esp plugin" for this mod.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
