This is a simple Dawnguard and Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch (USLEeP, USLEP) compatibility patch for Dragons Shout with Voice 1.1 with Voice Position Add-on 1.0 (available from the main mod on the same download page).

If you are only using the new voice files provided by DSV, without the Voice Proximity add-on for that mod, then you don't need my patch because you don't have a DragonShoutVoice.esp file. (You probably want it anyway: it makes the patched voice file sound like it's coming from a dragon instead of muffled from the air around you.)

What my patch fixed:

The "TIFC - Message Count" record is incorrect. The original mod didn't consider expanding this with DLC, USLeEP does. Even without USLeEP, returning it from 49 to 42 in vanilla Skyrim.esm is a conflict with Dawnguard.esm.

Incorrect Shout text (which has Spanish inverted exclamation mark punctuation, probably from the original version which was not developed for English).

Require

Dawnguard (absolutely necessary, or conversation logs don't match)

Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch - Technically it's not strictly required, you could use the old unofficial Dawnguard patch, or go without those, but that would be foolish.

Dragons Shout with Voice, both the BSA and loose file versions, also includes its neighboring plug-in, "Dragons Shout with Voice from location" (under Optional Files).

Install

Simply place the new DragonShoutVoice.esp file into your game's data directory, overwriting the original file.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
