About this mod Machine translation

Dragonlands is a modern standalone ENB based on NLA 2 weather, with an eye on the aesthetics of recent games like Horizon Zero Dawn and Shadow of War. Combining ENB's technical advances with the compilation knowledge of some of Skyrim's most talented modders, it includes a host of fixes, hotfixes and visual improvements.

Function

improved lighting

Lighting in Skyrim and surrounding areas has been significantly improved. The outer areas and special locations for glowing mushrooms retain Bethesda's original aesthetic choices while making all other technical improvements;

Fully functional

Updated from NLA 2 and since then includes almost all features included in newer versions of ENB (0.319);

truly independent

The design looks good and nothing else. No water, LOD, sky, clouds or rain substitutes required. Consider the texture of vanilla, trees and vegetation. The combination of internal lighting from particles, light sprites, windows and point lights makes a lighting overhaul almost unnecessary. However, they are still useful for bulb positioning and light-color replacement.

lightweight

The quality of each effect is reduced to Low, Very Low or, in extreme cases, Medium. Every aspect of Dragonlands is designed with these settings in mind for optimal performance.

patch and fix

Includes Mindflux's particle patch, underground scattering patch and ice shader fix so they are not required as separate mods. Smoke and loading screens on the main menu have been removed. In snowy weather, huge drifts of snow several millimeters from the screen will also be cleared. A common bug with dynamic lights illuminating far fog has been fixed. Thanks to the great work FadingSignal did on True Storms, including a fix for the annoying thunder loop bug without the need for additional thunder;

visible night

Clear nights illuminate the landscape as they should. Masser and Secunda are primarily responsible for this. If our puny moon can do it, Lorhan's two giant halves should do better. Cloudy nights are less bright because the clouds scatter light from the moon and stars, resulting in less direct illumination. Most of the time, they are navigable and require no other light source. Therefore, this feature alleviates engine limitations that cause engine shaders to not interact with flashlights, magic lights, and other lights.

Comfortable interior

Not too bright and not too dark. Most of the time. In any case, the ragged flagon is not a good example of a well-lit one.

dark dungeon

Reasonably dark dungeons and caves. If torches are no longer needed at night, the dungeon will make good use of them.

night vision

Special attention has also been paid to night vision goggles to make them useful and mimic the vision of nocturnal animals. It should be suitable for killing and not cause vomiting;

beautiful sunny day

Weather permitting, the days passed with beautiful sunrises and sunsets, lots of divine light and haze;

wet rainy day

If it rains, be prepared to get it visibly wet. You get wet, the road gets wet, the Inigo gets wet. Moisture is a real person;

better scaling

Mountains and distant landscapes are always covered in a combination of mist, mist and very faint distortion, all of which show the true scale of the skyline. This has the benefit of covering engine issues such as z-fighting and occasional ugly LOD textures. See that mountain? You can go there, but it's too far.

Subtle lens effects

Getting wet, icy, or close to a volcano all have very subtle effects on the screen. Of course they can be turned off, but they are made by people who don't like the effects of lenses.

Realistic skin

Skin reacts to light while keeping its natural color and features fully visible, whether they're your badass beast face, adorable pixie freckles or... some other asset;

cold water

The water is rendered in a dark green hue with visible corrosive and matching underwater.

mixed terrain

The reworked distant terrain completely eliminates the sometimes visible transit …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
