About this mod Machine translation

An early WIP ENB preset used lighting styles and color palettes to emphasize the cold, harsh weather that dominates Skyrim's rugged landscape, called Dovahlandjas ENB.

renew **********

*The first version 0.4 has been released, mainly just some changes to the nighttime lighting to reduce the redness. SweetFX's Desaturation also doubled on my SUHD screen, which made the colors very vivid and too saturated. If the new saturation reduces the colors of your settings, use version 0.3's SweetFX_settings.txt from your Skyrim home directory instead.

The preset should look dull in design, it should look cold!

*Fixed several issues in 0.3. Turns out I made some changes that made the ENB look completely different than the screenshot, so that's fixed now. Also, any black fog/haze issues should now be permanently resolved.

*Fixed nighttime fog

*The first 0.3 version has been launched. Fixed some issues and adjusted more ENB settings.

*Just kidding, update 0.2 is really okay now. Fixed fire and light sources outdoors, as well as dark clouds at night.

*Update 0.2 has started. The interior was restored and great effort was put into it. Each setting had to be typed in one by one from the picture on the phone. There is a problem with the old enbseries.ini. ENB is now playable!

ENB is still not perfect, so I will continue to edit more when I have time.

An early WIP release of my personal ENB for The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim (Dovahlandjas ENB).

The weird name essentially means Dragonlands, half Dovah-Zul, half Proto-Norse gibberish, since I don't speak English like a normal person/English speaker, and I think it wows me. jk haha. Also, apparently there's another ENB called Dragonlands that was released recently. But I'm a language nerd, so naturally I loved Dovahlandjas from the get-go.

My ENB preset uses a lighting style and color palette that emphasizes a cold, brutal, gritty, and harsh visual aesthetic with a subtle aesthetic designed to enhance the feeling of the cold, harsh weather that dominates Skyrim's rugged landscape.

It's the spiritual successor to an older ENB preset I'm using called Nordic Vinterlondes,

While it certainly looks different, my Dovahlandjas ENB preset attempts to do the same thing by exaggerating the bitter cold tones of the Skyrim environment by using a slightly washed out color palette that doesn't occasionally make for peaceful and beautiful vistas, but is dull elsewhere.

To be honest, ENB is still a work in progress and the interior decoration still needs a lot of work. At this point, I'm pretty busy right now, so I'll update when I have time, but it might take a while. If more people download this mod, I'll be more likely to continue developing it.

Install

**************************************************** ******

First, delete all ENB and SweetFX files from any previous ENB you may have been using.

Next,

Download the file from anywhere other than the Skyrim directory and rename d3d9.dll to SweetFX_d3d9.dll. Make sure you don't rename it to SweetFX_d3d9.dll.dll twice. Copy all files to the Skyrim Main directory.

****************************************************** *****

Just copy all the files in the "Dovahlandjas ENB Ver 0.1 Package" folder (except the installation readme),

Then just paste them into your Skyrim home directory with the TESV.exe file.

Then visit this site:

And download ENB version 0.349, if there is no version 0.349, download the ENB version closest to version 0.349.

Extract the files for version 349 to your desktop or anywhere other than your Skyrim home directory, open the files,

Open the wrapper version and copy only the files named "d3d9.dll" and "enbhost.exe" to the location of the TESV.exe executable in your Skyrim home directory.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
