About this mod Machine translation

This is the backend for the Solastyre Special Edition mod.

This is the backend for the Solastyre Special Edition mod, and since it's such a cool mod I wanted to share it with the Legends community.

*Edit: I realized this still says "Skyrim Special Edition" at the bottom, I'm working on changing that to be more immersive in LE. I'll update as soon as it's fixed.

All credit goes to Solastyre as the original special edition author.

A simple main menu replacement crafted in the image of the Dark Souls III title screen.

Four versions:

Style 1 does not have "SKYRIM" and is in all caps (this is the most authentic Dark Souls III menu in my opinion)

Style 2 with "SKYRIM"

Style 1 also doesn't "press any buttons"

Style 2 also doesn't have "press any button"

No music is included due to copyright, but if you own the Dark Souls III digital soundtrack and want to use that game's Skyrim menu theme, you can convert the mp3 file to xwm (using a tool like this) and add it to the data folder or the ModOrganizer mod folder like this:

Music
Special

mus_maintheme.xwm

Install:

Use your favorite mod installer or manually place the mesh and texture folders into "Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data"

uninstall:

Use mod installer or manually delete "meshes\interface\log\logo.nif" and "textures\interface\objects\mainmenuwallpaper.dds"

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
