Document introduction
Dark Priest's Arsenal II
by Hikarai
Go to Bellator General Store to buy a spell book, which adds 11 new vampire-type spells.
For those wishing to continue using their perk overhauled model, please see the footnote.
This mod is an overhauled version of another mod of mine, Dark Priest Spells. It adds a range of Restoration spells to Skyrim, making the pure Restoration Mage a viable "class" without the need to use other schools to deal damage. This mod does require dawnguard because at a later point it interacts with vampire and Dawnguard spells.
Don't forget to rate this mod. Every ratio contributes to self-improvement by making me feel satisfied with my work.
Also, if anyone can suggest any name improvements to the spells, that would be great. Dark healing just sounds silly.
All spells are available in the Belethor store in Whiterun, but will be later expanded in the same distribution as other remastered versions, with the master spell sought after.
Spells:
-> A spell that means there is no duplicate of a pre-existing spell.
+> indicates what I will add in the future.
Dark Healing: Deals 8 irreducible damage per second. Think of fire.
Dark Arrow: 25 points of irreducible damage. Think of the Rockets.
Bloody Flare: Deals 40 points of irreducible damage in a 15-foot radius. Think fireball.
Phantom Aura: Deals 8 irreducible damage per second in a radius centered on the caster. Think fire cloak.
Life Rip: 90 degree irreducible damage. Think burn out.
Maelstrom: Massive, irreducible damage in a caster-centered AOE. Think of a fire storm.
->Pulse Mortar: Deals 60 irreducible damage in a 25ft radius. Stagger those hits. Projectiles are affected by gravity. Perfect for raiding bandit fortresses.
-> Desperate Sacrifice: Powers granted by gaining additional bonuses on the altered repair tree. Can be used once per day. At the cost of 250 health, the caster gains 300 maximum mana and 200% mana regeneration, as well as +40% spell damage for 60 seconds. This has been tested in various situations and so far it's a fair trade-off.
->Domination: Paralyzes the target for 30 seconds and will refill the Soul Gem if they die within 15 seconds. If anyone knows how to apply an overtime damage effect like poison, please contact me.
->Suppress Aura: Cloak Spell. Lasts for 60 seconds, all creatures within range will take damage to their magic resistance. This damage is slightly exponential, so the amount of magic resistance lost per second increases the longer you are exposed to it. This value can and will fall into negative values, which not only does not reduce incoming spell damage, but actually increases it.
+>Absolute Control: Applies to every target within a specific radius. Mage spell.
+>Purge: Removes all magical effects from the target, including those granted by item enchantments and potions. Not sure how to code this, so anyone who knows should get in touch.
+> Blood Suppression: The target loses <MAG> maximum health, magic, and stamina, and their health, magic, and stamina regeneration rates become zero in <DUR> seconds. Target hit rate is slowed down while the effect lasts.
+> Eclipse: All targets in the area are silenced (cannot cast spells) and have their combat skills reduced by 20 points. (Suitable for one-handed, two-handed and archery.)
+> Bloodstain: Place a "mark" target on it. The effect of the base mark depends on certain perks and items that may be added at different times.
+> (Name TBD): "Activates" placed markers, causing a certain amount of damage to each marked target within an area. Since Mark has no maximum range and does not become a hostile spell, Mark and (name TBD) can be applied very effectively by stealth characters.
Extra:
->Dark Arts: Increases damage done by restoration spells by 20/40/60%.
-> Ritual Mark: Extends the duration of the curse by 20/40/60 seconds.
-> Desperate Sacrifice: Players gain the Desperate Sacrifice power.
-> Aetherial …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
